Critics Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California saw stars come out to celebrate. Hosted by Chelsea Handler – who poked fun at Jo Koy in her opening monologue! – the 29th annual ceremony took place.
Margot Robbie and America Ferrera joined Greta Gerwig and Bill Hader at the “Poor Things” table, while Greta Gerwig held hands as she addressed cameras.
Ali Wong in green
Chelsea Handler hosted the 29th annual Critics Choice Awards at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar on Sunday night, honoring film and TV’s best. Dua Lipa, Tracee Ellis Ross, Billie Eilish were among many stars who graced its red carpet.
Ali Wong from “Beef” donned a green gown from Givenchy’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection featuring floral embroidery details. Wong was styled by Tara Swennen who has previously dressed Allison Janney and Kristen Stewart.
Harrison Ford was honored with the Career Achievement Award on this night; during his acceptance speech he was interrupted by airplane noises; afterward he apologized profusely for any disturbance caused by these sounds.
Ariana DeBose in black
Oscar-winning actress and Tony-nominated Broadway star Ariana DeBose made an appearance to promote her movie Wish. She donned a black plunging dress by Versace, pairing it with minimalist shoes by Charles & Keith.
DeBose made quite an impression. She donned a dramatic dress by Natalie Mills to showcase her five feet fivein frame, accessorized it with jewelry by Natalie Mills, and donned all pronouns when using all pronouns to address herself.
DeBose made headlines for her response to presenters Bella Ramsey and Anthony Ramos when they dissed her during their Best Song presentation. Ramsey and Ramos said songs nominated were performed by some of “the most iconic voices in music industry,” then joked about actors thinking they are singers. DeBose took offense at this, taking aim back.
Brie Larson in black
At 41 years old, Brie Larson has built an enviable film and television career. Notable accomplishments include winning an Academy Award for Room and playing Captain Marvel in 2018. She is a red carpet icon who often dresses herself in Chanel couture or custom Rodarte designs from designers on call – making red carpet appearances a common event!
Larson often opts for simple red carpet looks, yet she is not afraid to experiment with different silhouettes (witness her dramatic black Oscar de la Renta gown at the Golden Globes or her strapless red Rodarte number).

Kaley Cuoco made an elegant all-black entrance at a recent red carpet event. The Big Bang Theory star donned an all-black Vera Wang gown featuring thin embellished straps with bows and a square neckline, pulling her blonde locks back in an elegant updo style. For added drama she accessorized this monochromatic ensemble with black hand bags and slate gray slouch boots from Fendi.
Flight Attendant actress Kristen Bell made a striking entrance in an exquisite high-necked floor-length gown featuring an atypical backless design. To complete her ensemble from 8 Simple Rules alums’, she added diamond earrings and a long jeweled necklace adorned with stones.

Reese Witherspoon showed how genetic beauty runs through her family when she shared a photo with daughter Ava Phillippe from Oceana’s Sea Change Summer Party held by Hauser & Wirth Gallery in Los Angeles. They both looked impossibly gorgeous.
Legally Blonde star Courtney Cox, 47, and her 23-year-old eldest child Ava both sported black dresses with strapless tops for their outings on Sunday evening. Ava complemented her look with silver hoop earrings from Big Little Lies star Laura Dern.

Gladstone attended the 2024 Critics Choice Awards wearing a cobalt Christian Siriano gown with three-dimensional roses, complete with dangling earrings. This event took place at Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport and was hosted by Chelsea Handler.

Chelsea Handler hosted and presided over Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar to host this year’s awards show, where “Barbie” led in nominations but Greta Gerwig’s “Oppenheimer” garnered more awards on the night.
