Actor Adan Canto, known for roles on shows such as Designated Survivor and The Cleaning Lady has died after a private battle against appendiceal cancer. He was 42.
He is survived by his wife and two children. Among his film credits are Netflix cartel series Narcos and Halle Berry’s directorial debut Bruised.

An actor best known for roles on Designated Survivor and The Cleaning Lady has died due to appendiceal cancer, according to reports from his representatives. They issued a statement commemorating his life which stated he possessed “an extraordinary depth of spirit that few truly understood; those fortunate enough to witness it have been forever transformed”.
Canto began his career as a singer-songwriter and made his television debut with Estado de Gracia on Mexican television in 2009. Soon thereafter he performed in a stage adaptation of Pedro Almodovar’s All About My Mother before making his American television debut on Kevin Bacon’s 2013 series The Following.
He was a regular in the first season, appearing in over 25 episodes. Additionally, he appeared on Netflix cartel drama Narcos as well as portraying Colombian politician Rodrigo Lara Bonilla on ABC’s CIA thriller Agent Game. Additionally, in 2013 he formed his own production company and directed two short films himself.

He died of appendiceal cancer
Adan Canto appeared in both Designated Survivor and The Cleaning Lady television shows and was scheduled to return for its third season of latter. On Monday morning he died from appendiceal cancer, as confirmed by his publicist in a statement issued on his behalf by Stephanie Ann Canto and their two children Roman Alder and Eve Josephine, whom are all mourning his passing. He leaves behind Stephanie Ann Canto as well as their two children Roman Alder and Eve Josephine who will carry his legacy forward.
The appendix is a small pouch located within the abdomen that attaches to the large intestine. Although its exact function remains undetermined, experts believe it may store healthy bacteria. Furthermore, appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) may occur.
Adan Canto was a beloved character on Narcos and his loss has left fans devastated. Kiefer Sutherland expressed his condolences on Instagram; Kiefer has been acting for more than two decades and appeared in various genres and roles such as Narcos, The Catch and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
