The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards finally arrived after being postponed due to Hollywood labor strikes, and while stars like Succession and Beef stole the show on the red carpet, one surprise guest caused quite a stir on it.

Dressed as a green goblin/ troll/ swamp creature, a celebrity made quite an impression by sporting warty skin and facial prosthetics to mimic Princess Poppy from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15. Quickly after, fans realized who this celebrity was: Princess Poppy from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15.

At Monday night’s 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, many celebrities stunned viewers in stunning Chanel, Dior and Versace gowns and suits – but one star caught everyone’s eye with something far more whimsical: they made their entrance at Los Angeles Peacock Theater wearing a whimsical green evening gown with Goblin prosthetics attached. She lurked around red-carpet livestreams generating excitement among viewers while sparking speculation online as to who might have worn such an unlikely ensemble – who could it possibly be?

Fans quickly recognized that Princess Poppy, season 15 contestant from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” was playing the part. She donned viridescent body paint with matching pearls, pointed ears and drooping nose wig and green pleated gown with a high back slit for her signature look.

Princess Poppy arrived at LA LIVE’s Peacock Theater wearing a vibrant green halter-neck dress featuring realistic goblin prosthetics. She was joined by other cast members from Drag Race including Jax (aka Simone Biles of drag); Loosey LaDuca a construction worker competing as “real life queen”, Malaysia Babydoll Foxx as the inaugural Miami queen and Sugar and Spice as identical twin contestants on this reality competition.

At Monday night’s 2023 Emmys red carpet walk, one star stood out in all the wrong ways. Wearing an elaborate green gown, stick-on moles and large prosthetic ears made for quite the sight – not only did she leave everyone talking but it even started trending online!

At an event featuring celebrity speakers and performers, one celebrity dressed up like an actual goblin. Her outfit consisted of a moss green halter gown paired with matching mohawk and long, green nails with spiky tips, accessorized with quirky ornaments such as pearl and seashell-adorned jewelry such as earrings and necklace.

Princess Poppy appeared at an awards show along with other drag queens including Mistress Isabelle Brooks, Jax, Salina EsTitties, and Luxx Noir London – quickly discovered to be true identities by internet detectives. However, detectives quickly established Princess Poppy was really beneath all her prosthetics and pearls.

Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo made headlines as well, appearing in a silver shirt from Filipino fashion designer Monique Lhuillier that showed off her bra. She completed the look by pairing it with black pants, a black necktie and kitten heel heels; accessorizing with beaded necklace and earrings featuring little doll heads as well as other quirky artifacts and carrying a green beaded bag featuring leaf-shaped charms to complete it all off perfectly.
