As a Swiftie, chances are you were overjoyed when Travis Kelce won Super Bowl LVIII and Taylor Swift ran onto the field to congratulate her new beau Travis Kelce – an adorable moment which quickly went viral – after running onto the field to give his congratulations after seeing off her old flame, Kaden Lundgren. Now Kelce has revealed what Swift told him during their adorable encounter.
Watch videos of her yelling, “Oh my God,” that have been posted on social media. “That is unbelievable. It’s unbelievable to me. How did you accomplish that?” It also seems like she’s saying, “I’m so proud of you.”
At her performance of her hit song “Karma”, Taylor surprised her partner by altering the lyrics to make direct reference to him and the audience went wild as she shouted out: “Karma’s the guy from Chiefs; coming straight home to me!” As soon as the crowd cheered in approval, Swift added:
Kelce recently posted a video of himself interacting with Swift that has left fans delighted. As soon as he saw she was wearing his championship ring, he reached out and placed his arm around her shoulder before leaning in to kiss her while she said encouraging (but hard to hear due to crowd chants) words in his ear.
She turned around and hugged him, saying “Thank you so much for this incredible game”. They then embraced and left together.
Kelce describes their relationship as being built around “family values.” According to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Kelce states “Taylor and I share similar values when it comes to our devotion to family. I know she’s very close with Austin and has always been present at my games.”
Kelce and Swift have demonstrated plenty of affection this football season. They’ve been seen attending several star-studded suites for Chiefs games, including their Oct. 1 win against the Jets; when it came time for their next contest against Bills on Oct. 25, Swift donned her favorite red coat to watch from her mother Donna’s private box.
Swift brought along both of her father and brother for support; Swift even wore a shirt with “It’s My Boy.
Kelce has spoken extensively in interviews about Swift, noting their shared love of goofing off on the sidelines. The two have even spent time hanging out at her Manhattan apartment together as well as enjoying trips into NYC on weekends together; Kelce recently revealed they even managed to have a quick date night at Nobu while the Chiefs were visiting Kansas City!
Kelce and Swift can look forward to an exciting future together, especially with Kelce set to return to NFL action after 2024 season ends and competing in his second Super Bowl with Chiefs (which takes place February 4).
