Trump Says There’s No Way Taylor Swift Would Support Joe Biden

As Republicans increasingly become concerned about losing midterm elections, they’ve begun looking for any celebrity that might help them win back the White House in 2024. Taylor Swift keeps coming up as someone who could help. Her endorsement of President Joe Biden may tip many votes – in fact, just one tweet from Swift could send more people than whole GOP campaigns directly to polling places! However, any time Swift supports Biden it may spark controversy from some fans of hers who could object vehemently.

On Super Bowl Sunday, former President Donald Trump posted to Truth Social and denounced any chance that Taylor Swift may support Joe Biden’s presidential bid. Trump claimed some responsibility for Swift’s success by passing copyright legislation to make sure musicians get paid when their music was streamed online. Trump also paid his compliments to Travis Kelce – her Kansas City Chiefs tight end boyfriend who’s been caught up in right-wing conspiracy theories following him appearing in ads for Pfizer vaccines and Bud Light.

Trump wasn’t the only person taking to social media to comment on a potential Taylor Swift endorsement of Biden. Fox News host and former judge Jeanine Pirro cautioned Swift not to get involved in politics at this juncture in American history, believing she would only further divide Americans. Jonathan Shalit of InterTalent Rights Group cautioned her not to get involved politically during such an unstable time period.

No matter what Pirro and Shalit may say, Swift appears set to endorse Biden in her essay published by Rolling Stone on Wednesday. Swift cited his message of healing and support for women, minorities and the LGBTQIA+ community as reasons to support him.

As much as Taylor Swift will help Biden in states like Ohio, she could potentially make a substantial difference in swing states like Arizona and Wisconsin where her millions of fans could play an integral role in Biden’s bid to capture the Democratic nomination – with nearly half of Swifties supporting Biden as Democrats while more than half living in suburbia.

Even a fraction of Swifties could turn out and cast an enormous vote, changing the outcome significantly. Given their potential backlash from angry Swifties, Republicans would do well not to attack her directly; ask Kanye West or John Mayer how getting on their bad side has gone for them!
