Turning Point Urges the Right to Modernize, Declares It’s Time

Turning

Turning Point has spent millions to gain access to student government budgets on campuses where it can promote its political agenda – but its tactics have caused controversy.

At a recent summit in Sin City, a representative for Turning Point Action and its subsidiary nonprofit organization stated that conservatives need to accept new rules of how elections are won or lost. He highlighted three drivers as to why conservatives must do this:

Business Fit

Businesses operating with outdated systems are like old houses that require major refurbishment. Before any refurbishing begins, however, it is vital to conduct an assessment of every aspect of the system from architecture and code review to visual aesthetic and product growth strategies before creating a modernization strategy and taking appropriate actions.

Alternatively, if the current product technology stack is not hindering future product growth, one strategy for modernization may simply involve migrating or rehosting and making minor enhancements – this may include updates to user experience (UX/UI), performance optimization or minor code refactoring without altering core business logic. It is key that an executive outlines and executes on a value-driven roadmap as this will facilitate a smooth transition from legacy to modern systems.

Business Value

Cuba Gooding Jr. famously challenged Tom Cruise as Rod Tidwell, a sports agent, by demanding “show me the money!” Turning Point hopes to send its own message at its Las Vegas winter meeting before the Republican National Committee’s annual convention in April. According to its political arm, Turning Point plans to focus its efforts on winning elections in Georgia, Arizona and Texas states which went Democratic last November by building teams of thousands of volunteers focused on election integrity and election victory.

Agility

Modernized systems can improve customer experiences, increase efficiencies and reduce costs while helping organizations adapt to changing business conditions, emerging technologies and competitive threats.

Attaining strategic agility is an integral goal of organizational leaders. Successful businesses are fast-moving and adaptive networks of people working collaboratively on new business opportunities. Roles and reporting relationships may shift rapidly while people collaborate across functions to explore potential solutions and accelerate prototyping processes.

To reach this level of agility, an enterprise needs to cultivate and hone seven core competencies of SAFe: team and technical agility, business agility, value stream engineering and Lean-Agile Mindset. The Business Agility Value Stream (BAVS) shows how these capabilities can be developed: from sensing an emerging opportunity all the way to providing a desirable solution before its window of opportunity closes.

Scalability

App scalability is crucial for increasing user retention and loyalty. When users can access your apps without experiencing glitches or interruptions, they are more likely to recommend them to others and spread the word. By investing early on in app development for scalability purposes, your app will perform optimally regardless of load – ultimately saving money over time.

Glenngillen: If an application cannot be built with two pizza team mentality and still scale to serve tens of thousands of users, then it would likely not be wise to launch it. Instead, your time would likely be better spent doing other activities with potentially greater positive impacts; such as increasing customer lifetime value – increasing it being crucial in today’s highly competitive environment.

Security

Although no major terrorist attacks like 9/11 have taken place since, substantial majorities of Americans still rank defending the nation from future threats as one of their top priorities. Furthermore, the Fourth Industrial Revolution is altering both national and international security in significant ways that blur the distinctions between combatants and noncombatant security measures.

Turning Point wants to remind Republicans that election day is more than a single-day event; rather it’s the result of months-long voter outreach and registration efforts. Their full-time Election Integrity Program has deployed resources and workers in three key states for 2024 election: Georgia, Texas and Arizona. Furthermore, this organization boasts an active litigation arm which has participated in over 70 cases related to voting issues.
