Taylor Swift, Jelly Roll, SZA Lead Nominations For iHeartRadio Music Awards 2024

The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards will premiere live and tape-delayed on Fox on Monday, April 1. This show honors the most-played artists and songs played on iHeartRadio stations and in their app over 2023.

SZA leads this year’s nominees with nine nods, including best progressive R&B album and song of the year for Kill Bill. Phoebe Bridgers, Victoria Monet and boygenius featuring Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus and Bridgers received six recognitions each.

iHeartRadio’s most beloved artists are all competing for top prizes at this year’s awards, set for broadcast April 1 on Fox from Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre. Taylor Swift earned nine nominations while Jelly Roll, SZA and 21 Savage earned eight each; Olivia Rodrigo and Phoebe Bridgers also earned six nods this year for their efforts.

The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards will showcase live performances by chart-topping superstars and breakout hitmakers as well as surprising duets and collabs, all to honor the top artists and songs played on iHeartRadio stations and apps throughout 2023 – while providing an exciting preview of future hits!

This year’s nominations demonstrate an interesting gender shift; women were nominated in every category. SZA earned nine nods with her album SOS and single “Kill Bill.” Phoebe Bridgers, Victoria Monet, Miley Cyrus Eilish Brandy Clark and Jon Batiste all garnered six nominations each.

Lainey Wilson led all nominees with nine nods at this year’s Country Music Association awards, including album of the year for her major label debut release Bell Bottom Country as well as Female Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year awards for both “Wait in the Truck” featuring Hardy and “Save Me”, along with double nominations in single of the year – for both album version of “Heart Like a Truck” as well as its single counterpart.

Jelly Roll has been nominated as Best New Artist alongside Gracie Abrams, Fred again…, Ice Spice… Coco Jones…. Noah Kahan… and Victoria Monet. Additionally he’s nominated for Song of the Year with “Whitsitt Chapel”, taken from his debut album of the same name; inspired by the church where he was baptized when he was younger. Additionally he’ll open for Ashley McBryde during her 44-date Backroad Baptism tour this spring!

21 Savage

Sunday evening’s iHeartRadio Music Awards – hosted by radio company formerly known as Clear Channel may have reached its zenith of oversaturation; nonetheless this year the ceremony at least had some real talent onstage – singers such as Madonna and Taylor Swift performed seductive duets while country duo Florida Georgia Line made memorable cameo appearances.

Keke Palmer served as host for this evening and appeared to be very excited to be present; she even donned a frosted lip to complement her makeup look!

As well as traditional categories like Album of the Year, Fox will host its annual Music Video and Lyric Awards this Monday April 1st with additional socially voted categories including Lyrics of the Year, Best Music Video, Fan Army, Social Star and TikTok Bop being awarded as well. Hosted at Hollywood’s Ovation shopping, dining and entertainment complex The Dolby Theatre welcomes performers and music fans alike with plenty of action from red carpet arrivals all the way through to winners circle celebrations!

The iHeartRadio Music Awards is an annual fan-voted show that utilizes various data sources to determine nominees and winners in over 30 categories. As one of the most coveted events in music, these awards provide an accurate indication of emerging artist success.

Rodrigo managed to avoid her sophomore slump this year and earn nods for both album of the year and record and song of the year with her hard rock hit “Vampire.” Competing against country music’s finest like Luke Combs, Dan + Shay and Morgan Wallen as well as rock format leaders The War and Treaty; her hit was nominated against them all!

SZA, Rodrigo and Victoria Monet each earned nine nominations this year at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards; Phoebe Bridgers and engineer/mixer Serban Ghenea both garnered seven. Voting will close March 25 on iheartradio.com/awards; several new socially voted categories – such as Favorite Tour Photographer, TikTok Bop of the Year and Social Star Award will also return this year.
