NBA : Pacers 123, Rockets 117

NBA

NBA Pacers Tyrese Haliburton scored 33 points (7-13 3PM) and 10 assists, including the game-winning three-pointer with under a minute left in overtime, to help lead Indiana Pacers over Houston Rockets 123-117 on Tuesday night for their first road victory since December 7. There were 15 lead changes and six ties.

Tyrese Haliburton

Haliburton was an integral component of Indiana’s win on Saturday, as he scored 33 points and dishing out 10 assists. His go-ahead three-pointer with one minute remaining helped them snap their losing streak and claim their first road win since Dec 7. His shooting performance included 13 of 21 from the field including 7-13 three-point attempts.

Tyrese John Haliburton (born February 29, 2000) is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). As both a 6-5 point guard and shooting guard capable of covering both positions simultaneously, he played college ball for Iowa State Cyclones.

Haliburton was selected by Sacramento Kings in the first round (12th overall) of 2020 NBA Draft and later traded to Indiana Pacers along with Buddy Hield and Domantas Sabonis. Hailing from Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Haliburton attended Oshkosh North High School; earning recognitions such as USA Today All-USA Wisconsin Boys Basketball First Team Honors as well as Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year awards.

Myles Turner

Turner is a consistent two-way threat for the Pacers and will only grow more significant with Tyrese Haliburton’s departure. Last season he shared time with Domantas Sabonis while contributing significantly as well – now looking forward to further developing himself this season.

Turner led the Mavericks to an easy 128-119 win against the Bucks on Thursday with 23 points (10-18 FG, 0-2, 3-Pt and 3-6 Free Throw), 10 rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 31 minutes of action. Although Turner experienced some decreased efficiency over his performance against Milwaukee, he remains their leading rebounder while having made significant impacts contributions both offensively and defensively.

Myles Christian Turner is a center for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Drafted 11th overall in 2015 NBA draft, Turner offers versatility on both ends of the court by scoring from multiple spots while also defending and blocking shots – combined with excellent shooting range and solid instincts on either side of the court.

Alperen Sengun

Sengun is the Rockets’ top offensive big man and an integral piece in their offense. He can score using various techniques ranging from traditional post-ups and rim runs to pick-and-rolls and isolations starting from the perimeter. Furthermore, this Turkish center displays impressive passing ability as evidenced by his average of 3.9 assists per game – something which only helps increase his effectiveness as an offensive force.

He’s an effective defensive player who can compensate for some weaknesses through length, positioning and quick hands. His length makes him an obstacle inside and can create turnovers with his length.

Sengun was an impressive fantasy asset last season and looks set to surpass that mark this year. A criminally underdrafted pick (16th overall in 2021), Sengun has experienced tremendous growth and development over his first two seasons with the Cavs – earning comparisons to Jokic due to his two-way skillset and long-term potential. Sengun can serve as both starter and reserve for many teams.

Tari Eason

Eason showed his value as an impact player for the Rockets despite playing through discomfort in his left leg. He scored eight points on 3 of 5 shooting and grabbed four rebounds in 9:26 of action.

The rookie power forward possesses all of the physical attributes sought out by NBA teams when selecting power forwards: elite length, massive hands and solid frame are hallmarks of an exceptional power forward player; fast feet make him even faster; plus his vertical athleticism sets him apart from competitors.

Eason is an aggressive slasher who enjoys attacking the rim in transition, and is also a solid finisher at both ends of the court, with an above average shot from long range.

Eason is an instinctive and disruptive defender capable of covering multiple positions. While his offensive abilities still need work, Eason could end up as an intriguing late first round pick in this draft and is an intriguing option for teams in need of defensive help.
