James Hunter claims Goth “intentionally kicked” him in the head
James Hunter, who worked on both X and Pearl movies, is suing Mia Goth over an incident on the set of Ti West’s MaXXXine film last April that left him with a concussion. According to Hunter’s lawsuit, Goth kicked him in the head during a scene and left him suffering concussion symptoms as a result of her action.
Hunter was hired to play the part of “Dead Parishioner” for three days on the film set in April, laying on the ground while Goth ran past and over him while covered in fake blood, nearly stepping on him during one take according to Hunter who reported this incident directly and to both assistant directors as well as Goth herself.
Hunter alleges that after filming was complete, Goth followed him into a bathroom where she “taunted, mocked, and belittled” him while daring him to do anything about it. Later that evening while driving home he felt lightheaded; upon returning he was informed by production that they no longer required him for two more days of shooting; consequently his hiring agency informed him they no longer required him as part of production’s schedule. This suit alleges battery against Goth, director Ti West, and producer A24 as well as claims against these individuals as well.
