Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Sandoval recently made headlines for his monthslong affair with Raquel Leviss, and Give Them Lala podcast host Rebecca Kent has extended her support and sympathy. Kent explained her reasons on a recent episode of Give Them Lala.
As the reunion draws nearer, some cast members seem to be softening their opinions of Sandoval. ET has more details.
Ariana Madix
Vanderpump Rules reunion on Wednesday night saw some dramatic moments, with Tom Sandoval admitting to secretly filming an offensive video with Rachel Leviss behind her back; Lala Kent even addressed this scandal while making an appearance for Amazon Live to sell merchandise!
Kent said she hadn’t anticipated Leviss becoming such a victim, yet still felt sympathetic towards her co-star.
She explained her reasoning. Leviss has been discussing the Scandal on her podcast and expressed some regret at being caught, though not quite because they loved each other; also noting she didn’t particularly care for Sandoval and suspecting he didn’t either; in addition she is aware of rumors indicating Leviss sent legal letters concerning their alleged affair; these have since been dismissed by Leviss and her castmates.
Tom Sandoval
At the Season 10 reunion, there was much to unpack but none more controversial than Rachel Leviss’ admission that she and Tom Sandoval slept together during both Mexico trip and Madix’s home while attending their grandmother’s funeral – leaving even cast members speechless with shock at this news.
Leviss made headlines with her remarks during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen where she stated her opinion that Sandoval was hotter than Schwartz, which made many uncomfortable and she later issued an apology for this comment.
Later, she appeared on Dear Media with Bethenny Frankel’s podcast to address Scandoval and its aftermath. She revealed she felt hurt by how her co-stars treated her during three part reunion taping; particularly by Frankel’s inference that the affair wasn’t as serious due to taking place at an open house; citing how her feelings had been “ignored and dismissed”. Rachel Leviss
Since reports surfaced about Tom Sandoval’s months-long affair with Rachel Leviss while still in a relationship with Ariana Madix, it has become apparent that there exists significant tension between their two co-stars.
Leviss addressed her feelings during part two of Vanderpump Rules reunion and reported feeling “heard.” She revealed she and Sandoval hooked up multiple times throughout 2022 – including at Scheana Shay’s wedding to Brock Davies.
Kent was dismayed at Leviss’ decision and told her she should have come on-screen if she wanted to settle their drama, rather than creating waves off camera and upsetting everyone’s lives. Additionally, the Give Them Lala author stated she didn’t feel it was fair for Leviss to opt out of filming Vanderpump Rules before season 11, although she may return later as a guest star.
Lala Kent
Vanderpump Rules will pick up where Scandoval left off and bring all of its core cast back together, including Lisa Vanderpump, Ariana Madix, James Kennedy, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent Scheana Shay Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz will return; however, Rachel Leviss (formerly Raquel) will no longer appear on screen.
Give Them Lala podcaster Liz Lala took to Amazon Live recently to defend her criticism of former beauty queen Raquel following her revelation that she blocked Tom Sandoval on social media following their months-long affair.
Lala stated that, if she had any grievance against Raquel, she would have spoken up directly and approached Raquel directly instead of lashing out on social media about why Season 11 has not taken place yet. Lala further discussed Rachel’s decision to change her name back citing how her therapists suggested it would disarm those using it against her as weapons in Pump Rules cast and fans attempting to gain power by weaponizing it against her; taking back your name will dismantle this weaponization strategy.
