Jeremy Renner marked the anniversary of his near-fatal snowplow accident by visiting the hospital that saved his life. The 52-year-old actor shared an Instagram story video showing kids from Chicago’s The Base urban academy dancing along to 50 Cent’s “In Da Club.”
Renner recently visited the hospital where he had been treated since being crushed on New Year’s Day, sharing updates about his recovery process with followers online.
Jeremy Renner’s Back to Work
Jeremy Renner hasn’t given up working since his near fatal snowplow accident last year, even after nearly losing his life to injuries sustained from a snowplow accident. To commemorate one year since his recovery, Renner recently visited the hospital where his injuries were treated in Reno and paid his thanks to all those involved – doctors, nurses and staff members at that hospital as well.
Renner returned to filming of his Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown this past Tuesday, sharing a selfie he took alongside his cast-members as filming began for its third season in Pittsburgh.
Jeremy Renner was severely injured in an accident on New Year’s Day 2023 when he was struck by his own Snowcat while helping a family member at their property to unlock it. This resulted in 30 broken bones, pierced liver and collapsed lung injuries requiring hospitalization for two weeks before walking again and relearn how to use his hands properly again.
He Looks Like a Marvel Character
Hawkeye may receive criticism for being less “super” than other Marvel heroes, but he remains resilient despite this criticism. Starring in both Phase 1 movies and 2021 Disney+ docu-series of Marvel Cinematic Universe films (Phase 1) as well as recovering from an almost fatal snowplow accident earlier this year, he celebrated his 52nd birthday this past weekend while still recovering.
Jeremy Renner tried to jump onto the 14,000-pound Pistenbully snowcat to prevent it from running over his nephew, only to become crushed himself and experience chest trauma and orthopedic injuries as a result of it.
Renner visited Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno to thank its ICU team, which had saved his life nearly one year earlier. He posted a photo with them all on his Instagram feed with an inspirational quote by him: “Thank you Renown Medical ICU team for starting this journey.”
He’s a “Lucky Man”
Jeremy Renner can count himself among the lucky. On New Year’s Day 2023, the Avengers star nearly perished after he was struck by a snowplow while helping his nephew move a vehicle stuck in snow at their Nevada home. Renner broke over 30 bones and underwent multiple surgeries after being run over by it while helping out.
Renner has been open about his recovery process following his accident, regularly sharing photos of both his ordeal and progress in his healing process. Renner has employed numerous treatment techniques including physical therapy, injections of peptides and steroids, intravenous drips and pushes, stem cell therapies, red light IR therapy and hyperbaric chamber 2.0 atmosphere environments according to an update provided in November by Renner himself.
Jeremy Renner continues to make tremendous strides in his recovery and celebrate life’s little victories, like posting a video of kids from an urban academy in Chicago dancing to 50 Cent’s 2003 hit, “In Da Club.” Renner credits these youngsters for giving him energy boost he sorely needs.
One Year Later
One year later, Jeremy Renner continues to honor the milestones on his road back from a snowplow accident. On Friday, the 52-year-old actor posted an emotive Instagram message, thanking all those involved with his recovery process and their ongoing support that has enabled his progress.
Hawkeye star Andrew Wiggins suffered 30 broken bones when the snowplow he was using to clear his driveway near Nevada hit him on New Year’s Day last year and crushed him while trying to stop its engine-powered machine from sliding and hitting his nephew instead of stopping its slide and impact.
Marvel actor Ryan Reynold was reminded of their anniversary by a close friend, prompting him to post a picture on Instagram showing himself dressed for workout in workout attire while carrying both water bottle and tote bag, along with adding “#grateful” as his caption. Production on Season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown TV series is currently underway at this time.
