Kelsea Ballerini Clarifies Facial Expression After Losing at GRAMMYs After she lost Best Country Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards to Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottom Country, viewers noticed she had an apparent disappointed expression on her face – leading some fans to speculate she may be shading Wilson, however she later issued a statement to clarify any confusion over what may have occurred.
Kelsea discussed her response to losing an award during an episode of her podcast Call Her Daddy. She expressed how it made her both happy and sad that Wilson won; feeling both happiness and disappointment that her EP didn’t win was normal, she felt, hoping no one made her seem bad because of it.
Kelsea discusses her meeting of Morgan Evans as something out of a romantic comedy before he asked her to marry him in 2016. They spent four years as happily married couples before their divorce was finalized this August. She continued discussing her experience at the Grammys, noting how special it was as her first-ever experience of attending. She had mixed emotions at seeing some of her favorites win – especially Taylor Swift with six awards! But overall it was an unforgettable night.
Kelsea has had a fantastic year. She released a new EP and made an appearance in a film adaptation of her hit single “Love Story,” earning four Grammy nominations this year. In addition to music, the “Peter Pan” singer has also advocated on behalf of numerous charities and causes dear to her heart. Kelsea has become an inspiration to young women through her hard work ethic, dedication to her craft and humble demeanor. Her love for others only deepened as she matured into an accomplished country star.
