Elvis Presley will make a triumphant return to the stage this November as an artificial intelligence-enhanced hologram for an immersive experience called Elvis Evolution, held at a central London location still to be confirmed by Layered Reality, using cutting-edge technologies, augmented reality, theater projection and multisensory effects, according to Layered Reality’s website.

Authentic Brands Group, owner of Presley’s estate, and The firm have joined forces to deliver this virtual-reality experience designed as a “joyous celebration” of his music, cultural legacy and life-sized digital Elvis, with a concert finale that blurs reality and fantasy. Following its debut in London, this experience will soon travel around global cities such as Las Vegas, Berlin and Tokyo before coming full circle back around again for other major concerts like ABBA recently did with its virtual-reality show in London.

Elvis Presley going on a journey

Elvis Presley will embark on a new journey via holographic AI this November at a London concert staged by Layered Reality – an U.K. company which specializes in immersive experiences that combine technology, theatre, projections and multi-sensory effects – to stage “Elvis Evolution.”

Layered Reality’s immersive interactive entertainment and augmented reality experience will also travel to Las Vegas, Berlin, and Tokyo after making its London premiere. The show will showcase a life-sized digital replica of Elvis Presley crafted from thousands of personal photos and home videos as part of a tribute event hosted by Authentic Brands Group; celebrating his musical legacy. Layered Reality also plans on taking this immersive experience on tour to celebrate his legacy beyond London.

The company is looking to capitalize on the success of ABBA Voyage, its virtual concert that featured digital avatars of Swedish pop band ABBA, with this latest project serving as its successor – what Andrew McGuinness refers to as an “next-generation tribute.”

I’m going on a roll

Elvis Presley will return 46 years after his death through an immersive holographic show called Elvis Evolution that will premiere in London in November 2024. Produced by British immersive technology specialist Layered Reality, life-sized digital Elvis will share some of his iconic songs and moves at this London show, before concluding with an afterparty at a restaurant and bar nearby.

The company recently entered into an agreement with Presley’s estate owner, Authentic Brands Group, to bring his show to life, which will also be shown in Las Vegas, Berlin and Tokyo. It builds upon the success of their ABBA Voyage experience that featured digital avatars of Swedish pop group ABBA during stage performances.

The movie doesn’t quite address Presley as an individual, but for long stretches it provides riveting entertainment. Something you may wish to revisit several times to fully grasp all its details and impact.

I’m going on a ride

Elvis Presley will return to London’s West End, nearly 47 years after his death, for a show called “Elvis Evolution.” A holographic version of him will make an appearance this November as part of a show known as “Elvis Evolution.”

Layered Reality and the Authentic Brands Group, who own Elvis’ estate, have joined forces to produce this immersive technology experience. According to its website, audiences will witness a life-sized digital Elvis recreated from thousands of personal photographs and home videos submitted as part of this show.

After the success of Oscar-nominated biopic Elvis and Sofia Coppola’s Golden Globe-nominated Priscilla, which have both garnered considerable acclaim, this announcement marks another way in which Baz Luhrmann and Sofia Coppola’s film will draw renewed attention to pop culture icon Elvis and his legacy. Following its London premiere, Layered Reality states the experience will embark on a global tour that includes stops in Las Vegas, Berlin and Tokyo before eventually wrapping in Europe and America.
