Travis Kelce has quickly become one of the most recognizable household names in NFL. He hosts a popular podcast with brother Jason, has appeared in national commercials, and been one of his team’s best performers over multiple seasons. Now that Kansas City Chiefs are back in Super Bowl after beating Baltimore Ravens in AFC Championship game, Kelce remains as important an off-field figure than ever!
As game day nears, however, the 34-year-old has been experiencing some feelings of regret over something most would see as predictable: his girlfriend Taylor Swift.
“Criminal Summer” singer Taylor Swift has become an active part of Chiefs Kingdom, attending games and cheering on her boyfriend’s team whenever possible. While currently performing several Eras Tour shows in Japan until Saturday night, she plans on making the journey over to Las Vegas on Sunday to support his attempt at defending their championship against San Francisco 49ers.
Kelce expressed excitement to see Swift at his game this season but did express some regret over some of his outfits during that season he has worn that have drawn criticism from Swift fans. For example, during 2023 season Kelce was widely criticized for wearing velvet pants which fans likened to curtains seen in promotional videos for her then-upcoming Midnights album and for wearing striped sweaters similar to takeout bags from Cheesecake Factory takeout.
Kelce claims Swift has been an incredible support this season as the Chiefs prepare to make another Super Bowl run in five years. In a recent episode of New Heights Podcast he also discussed their relationship.
The episode focused on Swift’s support of the Chiefs, her influence on Kelce’s playing style, and how she helps make him better both as an individual and football player.
Kelce revealed in the podcast several of Swift’s favorite qualities of him, such as her fondness of singing his music. With Swift by his side, no doubt Kelce will be ready for Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday and continue proving why he’s one of today’s premier tight ends.
