Death threat to Vivek Ramaswamy

Tyler Anderson of Dover, New Hampshire was arrested last night after sending death threats against GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy via text messages sent from his phone, according to a Department of Justice press release.

Anderson sent text messages warning Ramaswamy’s campaign of his plans “to blow [Ramaswamy’s] brains out” and kill everyone attending their Portsmouth campaign rally, with some also including bomb threats against it according to DOJ press releases.

Ramaswamy’s campaign informed police about these texts before admitting having sent them according to an affidavit filed in federal court against Anderson himself stating his involvement voluntarily admitted sending them.

After receiving this text message from Ramaswamy’s campaign, local law enforcement and his security team notified local police and provided “other available data to law enforcement indicating Anderson as being responsible.” Police then pinged his phone and seized it along with any devices used for sending this threat; Anderson has admitted sending these texts and been charged with transmitting threats of bodily harm through interstate commerce – facing up to five years imprisonment if found guilty.
