Anthony Davis ‘Triple-Double’ | Los Angeles Lakers Vs Charlotte Hornets

Los Angeles Lakers edged Charlotte Hornets 124-118 on Monday, and Anthony Davis recorded another impressive triple-double performance to extend their winning streak to three games. Davis posted 26 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists to lead his side to victory.

Today’s Wonder of the Day was inspired by Daniel. He wants to know which NBA team has had the highest number of triple-doubles?

Points

Anthony Davis has notched four triple-doubles over his past five games for the Lakers, averaging 26.6 points, 13.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2.0 blocks per contest. Even with his questionable tag attached, Anthony Davis remains an excellent choice in daily fantasy leagues.

He has averaged 20 points on offense each of the last 11 seasons and is widely regarded as one of the NBA’s finest defensive players and rebounders. Additionally, he was honored as an eight-time All-Star.

Davis has achieved incredible success through a combination of NBA contracts, lucrative endorsement deals and prudent investments – all while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. He owns an elegant mansion in Los Angeles’ Bel Air neighborhood, drives luxury cars from his collection and gives back through charitable endeavors. At 30 years old, he’s amassed immense wealth from basketball that he has channeled into generational wealth; recently telling The Wall Street Journal about being a “big car guy”, boasting his collection of Mercedes-Benz vehicles – GLS class and Maybach S class worth over $1 Million combined!

Rebounds

The Lakers quickly opened up an early lead thanks to Davis’ dominance at both ends of the court. He made two stand-out plays alongside LeBron James – driving past P.J. Washington before dunking over 7-foot center P.J. Washington on a two-handed jam and feeding him for an alley-oop dunk dunk dunk by feeding off one.

He returned from missing one game due to an adductor/hip injury with 26 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists across 37 minutes of play Monday night.

Davis has notched double-doubles in nine of his last 10 outings and currently ranks third in the league with 40 double-doubles this year, tied for second overall in triple-doubles since joining the Lakers, including three this season alone. Furthermore, when Davis scores 25 or more points and grabs at least 10 rebounds during one game he leads them in blocks on six separate occasions this season.

Assists

Davis ranks in the Top 75 NBA players all time for assists, yet could do better at this aspect of his game. His ability to pass out of the post or provide assists through passing to shooters has been inconsistent this season.

Davis recorded his third triple-double of the season to lead Los Angeles past Charlotte Hornets with just nine players available for action. LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell also stood out.

The Los Angeles Lakers have listed Davis (hip/Achilles) as questionable for Saturday’s match against the New York Knicks, meaning his absence would leave them without two of their best players in an extremely challenging matchup against New York and force Rui Hachimura and Jaxson Hayes to take on larger roles than expected. Fantasy managers should keep tabs on Davis’ status closely before finalizing lineups – his track record shows no instances where he missed games this season while fighting through ailments is well documented.

Blocks

Davis is one of the league’s premier shot blockers. Over his 12 seasons with the Lakers, he’s amassed 500+ blocks, earning eight All-Star selections along the way. On Monday night against Charlotte Hornets 124-118 win for Lakers, Davis added two key blocks that proved vital.

Davis began the first half in impressive fashion, driving past P.J. Washington for an airborne two-handed dunk before feeding Russell for a three-point play. At the end of the game he made another key block on Miles Bridges’ 3-point attempt – helping secure victory!

Davis (Achilles Tendonopathy/Left Hip Spasm) is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against the Knicks; however, he should return from missing Thursday’s loss against the Celtics and resume play against New York. If not playing, Jaxson Hayes could see increased minutes due to Davis’ absence; fantasy managers should monitor this closely since Davis’ presence is essential in maintaining current production levels.
