An avid Buffalo Bills fan was fatally shot after leaving Sunday’s game with friends. Police believe a driver pulled alongside them and fired shots, killing 30-year-old man. A GoFundMe has raised over $100,000 for his family; and studies by Plain View researchers indicated that one out of every five officers made public posts or comments which displayed bias, applauded violence or challenged due process rights.

Delma Noel-Pratt made history when she became the first female police chief of any major Miami-Dade city, becoming one of the first. But years before that happened, Noel-Pratt experienced a terrifying encounter that altered her path: at age 11, Noel-Pratt and her sister were walking towards a corner store when an unknown individual approached them and attempted to rob them both – something which terrified both sisters.

Noel-Pratt was inspired to pursue advocacy work after she witnessed an incident. This eventually led her to law enforcement, where she spent several years as a police officer, reaching the rank of major.

Noel-Pratt became leader of Miami Gardens Police Department – one of 33 departments within Miami-Dade County – in late 2016. As its sole female leader, she surpasses most other Miami-Dade chiefs’ experience and stands alone as the only woman ever to hold such an influential post. However, Noel-Pratt now alleges she was subjected to retaliation after criticizing certain elements within the department and wants compensation. She filed suit against her city alleging this harassment due to her criticism.

Dale Mooney, 53, from New Hampshire died following an incident during the New England Patriots versus Miami Dolphins game at Gillette Stadium Sunday evening. A witness told WCVB they saw Mooney approach another fan and start fighting with them, which caused Mooney to die as a result.

As fans were streaming out of the stadium following a game, police received reports about an altercation involving several individuals and someone in a vehicle. Police believe the driver fired shots into their group; one member was struck; however, and then fled from the area.

Police have not released an account of who committed this attack and are gathering as much information as they can about him/her.
