Austin Butler Reveals His First Crush and Romantic Secret Skill Austin Butler remains true to his roots when it comes to romance. The High School Musical star has had his fair share of celebrity relationships; recently however, model Kaia Gerber has stolen his heart. They can often be found together at red carpet events or award shows; plus they travel around together – though despite this high-profile relationship they remain fairly discreet about it.

Callum Turner, the actor’s co-star who is presently rumored to be dating Dua Lipa, revealed to Barrymore that Jessica Rabbit was his first love.

Butler experienced one of his most romantic moments at 15 years old while performing in Orange County Fair. A talent scout noticed his acting potential and approached him to attend acting classes; soon enough he started landing roles like Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide and Life Unexpected on Nickelodeon productions.

At first, he only appeared in teen drama shows like CSI: NY and Switched at Birth; later appearing as part of Sex and the City prequel The Carrie Diaries. Later still, he gained further popularity playing half-human/half-elf Wil Ohmsford in fantasy adaptation The Shannara Chronicles which made many female fans take notice.

But it was his dramatic roles that really cemented Butler’s reputation. In Baz Luhrmann’s biopic of Elvis, for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination (though Brendan Fraser won it), Butler shone brightest. On The Drew Barrymore Show, he shared that his co-stars and he gave advice and support for her blind date, including calling their friends to discuss what had transpired and give their advice if things didn’t work out; these tips included calling someone close if necessary to tell someone of what had transpired;

More recently, he has appeared in Apple TV+’s Hijack, an action thriller featuring Idris Elba as an ex-CIA agent turned pirate. Although filming this show proved enjoyable for the star, he admitted it could also be challenging as it required him to give up his Elvis voice; nevertheless he’s proud that he made the right decision and enjoys portraying a person with great courage on-screen – see it now on Apple TV+ here.
